Disclaimer

In the sciences, nothing is accepted as truth unless it is peer-reviewed by other scientists and field experts.  In order for research to be considered publishable, it must endure rigorous review and examination by other scientists and researchers.  Depending on the journal a researcher seeks to be published in, there are different standards the research must adhere to in order to be considered worthy of publication in that journal.  Upon entering graduate school, depending on the career path of the researcher, they spend years working as graduate students and post-docs on publishable work and submitting to journals to prove their credibility in the scientific world.  This is primarily done in the academic setting.  Another option to validate research outside of the academic setting is clinical trials.  Clinical trials are extremely costly and for a research topic such as mine, there is no return on investment because my theories focus on the treatment of HS without medication (mostly due to there not being medications available to HS suffers until recently).   I am a working professional on the data side of clinical trials and not currently in the academic setting either, and therefore unable to have my research peer reviewed at this time.  Therefore, I am adding the disclaimer that my research has not been peer-reviewed, published in a scientific journal, or undergone the rigorous FDA requirements for the treatment of disease.  I simply wrote a book detailing how I have learned to live with the diseases in myself.
