When I began my journey into the abyss of understanding Hidradenitis Suppurativa, I was surprised to discover that I had a reaction to toffee I made using raw sugar. In my book, I discuss how we were able to determine my underarm reaction was due to my use of aluminum foil after repeated experiments over weeks with no subsequent reactions. I wrote about this years ago in my book and recently came across an article that so eloquently discussed the topic as well but with chemical evidence.
